The Indianapolis Colts finished with an impressive record of 11-5, despite playing against all of the AFC North. They made it all the way to the AFC championship game, only to lose to a cheap game to New England. They beat the Bengals twice (once in the regular season, and once in the playoffs) by a total of 43 points. They have numerous young studs who will be a cornerstone for years to come, like: Ty Hilton, Andrew Luck, Dwayne Allen, Jerrell Freeman, Jonathan Newsome, Arthur Jones, and many more.

Offensive breakdown- The Colts led the league in passing, with Andrew Luck throwing for a NFL high 40 touchdowns. He threw an extraordinarily high amount of passes (616), and his 4,761 yards were good enough for 3rd in the league. They also had 4 rushers go over 250 yards rushing. One of those men, Trent Richardson, will likely not return next season due to numerous factors (off the field issues, fumbling, and not living up to his power runner form).

Defensive breakdown- The Colts had one of the better secondaries in the league, only allowing about 230 passing yards against them a game. Strong Safety Mike Adams had a team high 5 interceptions, and 87 total tackles. Jonathan Newsome (rookie out of Ball State) had a led the club with 6.5 sacks. He’ll be lining up with the Colts for years to come. Referring back to my older post “Mock 1.2” I had them taking Eric Kendricks (middle linebacker) from UCLA.

Look for the Colts to be even better this coming season, playing their younger stars more, and loading up on solid draft picks.
