The Carolina Panthers HAVE to get to off to a fast start this season under Ron Rivera. The Panthers always start slow under Rivera. The Carolina Panthers are 5-11 in the first four games of the season since Ron Rivera has been head coach. Also on the road the Carolina Panthers are 1-7 in the first four games of the season under Rivera.
This season the Carolina Panthers have what appear to be an easy first four games on the schedule. Or easy compared to the latter part of the year anyway. The Panthers open in Jacksonville host the Texans and Saints then travel to Tampa Bay. Of course any of these teams could be better this season but the Carolina Panthers need to be 3-1 or 4-0 going to the week 5 bye. The Panthers never win after the bye and this year travel to Seattle after the bye.
The Eagles, Colts, and Packers play the Panthers after the Seattle game. If the Carolina Panthers start slow this year they could be in the same boat as last year and have to scratch and claw all season just to maybe make the playoffs
