Washington Nationals Bryce Harper has just signed a 10-year endorsement extension with Under Armour. The deal is expected to be the largest in MLB history. With that said, terms and compensation will not be disclosed at Under Armour’s discretion.
His signature cleat, Under Armour Harper One, will be available for purchase starting July. Harper first signed with Under Amour in 2011, nearly a year after he was picked up first overall in the draft.
At 19-years-old, Harper became the youngest player to be features in an All-Star game. That same year he went on to win National League Rookie of the Year. In 2015, he became the youngest player to unanimously win an MVP award.
Other notable MVP players sponsored by Under Armour include Stephen Curry (Warriors), Cam Newton (Carolina Panthers), and Jordan Spieth (PGA Tour Player of the Year).
Harper’s contract will run through 2026.
