Redskins cut Linebacker Adam Hayward

Adam Hayward who suffered a torn ACL during the course of the 2015 preseason, was released by Washington today. On top of being an aging veteran, and battling back from injury Adam Hayward was cut due to youth and availability on the special teams side of the ball. Improved depth at the linebacker position didn’t do Hayward any favors. Adam Hayward quietly bursted onto the scene in Washington being named Special Teams captain in his first year as a member of the Redskins (2014), he also suffered a season ending leg injury that season. Washington now has 89 men on their roster, with the roster max set at 90 players.
